Our research relies primarily on authoritative public sources, including the World Bank, International Monetary Fund (IMF), United Nations agencies, national statistical offices, government departments and regulators.

Each ranking uses a defined metric, documented data year or statistical snapshot, and comparable observations in consistent units and scope. When several sources are required, their roles and methodology are documented.

Access to downloadable datasets and archived research varies by item: some materials are available openly, while others are available only in part.
